Lorenzo, Alfredo B.

Dr. Alfredo B. Lorenzo is a Professor in the Agricultural Sciences Program, College of Agriculture and Food Sciences, Florida A&M University. He received his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in Forestry with emphasis in forest management and economics, M.S. in Wildland Resources Science from the University of California at Berkeley, MBA from Lincoln University in San Francisco, California, and B.S. in Forestry from the University of the Philippines at Los Banos. Dr. Lorenzo has served as a faculty at FAMU/CAFS since 2001 and teaches courses in plant science, forestry and natural resources, and agribusiness. As a researcher, Dr. Lorenzo's research focuses on the valuation of the social, economic, and health impacts of urban and community forests and the assessment of mitigating effects of urban forests on air and water quality.
