Dr. Jingqiu Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Biological Systems Engineering Program at the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences in Florida A&M University (FAMU). She received her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Purdue University. Dr. Chen joined FAMU in August 2021. Her specific research interests include: using data analytics and integrated models to inform urban, agriculture, water, and coastal resources management; estimating stormwater runoff as a function of urbanization and climate change; large scale hydrologic and water quality modeling; remote sensing applications; environmental system optimization with a focus on green infrastructure and urban sustainability; development of computer and internet-based applications for hydrology research/education such as locally adaptable web tools/phone apps.
