Colonel Ringvelski graduated from Eastern Michigan University and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the Platoon Leaders Course in August 1995.

His fleet and operational force assignments include Platoon Commander, S-2, S-3A, Marine Wing Support Squadron 271; S-3A and Force Protection Officer, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable); Aide-de-Camp, 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade and III Marine Expeditionary Force; Flag Aide, Expeditionary Strike Group 7 (Plank Owner); Company Commander, 1st Force Service Support Group; Force Protection Officer, 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade/Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan.

Colonel Ringvelski’s supporting establishment assignments include Platoon Commander and Flightline Security Officer, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point; Company Commander and Provost Marshal, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton; Director of Security and Emergency Services, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point; Executive Officer and Commanding Officer, Security Battalion Marine Corps Base Quantico.

His Joint assignments include Deputy Provost Marshal and Civil Military Operations Officer, Joint Task Force Shining Hope; Executive Assistant and Personal Security Officer, Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa; Policing and Rule of Law Analyst, Joint Center for International Security Force Assistance, J7 The Joint Staff; Liaison Officer, NATO International Security Assistance Force/NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan; Global Force Management Branch Chief, J3 The Joint Staff.

He has participated in Operation Shining Hope and Allied Harbour, Operation Stabilize, Operation Bevel Express, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Moshtarak.

Colonel Ringvelski has completed the Expeditionary Warfare Course, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the College of Naval Warfare as an embedded International Fellow to the Naval Command College. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Boston University and a Master of Arts in National Security Strategy and International Affairs from the United States Naval War College.  

His personal awards include: the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (oak leaf cluster in lieu of second award), Meritorious Service Medal (gold star in lieu of fourth award), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (gold star in lieu of second award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
