Community Garden

The FAMU Community Garden is the oldest community garden in Tallahassee and one of the oldest in the state of Florida. Established almost 50 years ago, the garden is located on the southern end of Florida A&M University's campus at 2001 W. Orange Avenue. The garden is nestled on three acres of clear fertile land, averaging 71 plots that are 40 feet long by 40 feet wide. For years, this garden produced in excess of 14 tons of nutritionally rich food, which served hundreds of families throughout Tallahassee and the Big Bend area.

To inquire about securing a plot, contact FAMU Cooperative Extension at 850-599-3546.
